Browsing Through The Best Little Shops...
I'm so ready for spring. A little window shopping through the best little shops is always an excellent way to perk myself up. I'm so excited by some of the items I found this evening, I just have to share...Beginning my tour of the shops here at spankyluvsvintage I found this groovy vintage Max Factor Big perfume pendant necklace. I love the color, and the charm in this piece. It just exudes fun. It makes me smile. There are so many remarkable items in this shop! Start here to see all the wonderful vintage items currently available in this fabulous shop.
My next stop was at papercherries. This shop is just bursting with fabulous vintage items! One of my favorite items in this wonderful shop is this Royal Crown, 1950s Flowered China Boot Vase. I just love the details on this little boot vase. The little blue and yellow flowers, red berries and green leaves make me happy just looking at them. Stop by and see what reaches out and grabs you.
The final stop for this evening was here at zizzybob. This cheerful, sunny handmade fabric postcard is just too cute to resist. Such a fun way to mail some happiness to someone special. This is a fun shop with many wonderful handmade items (and a few vintage ones, too). Barbara has a great selection of quilt blocks that quilters won't want to miss.

Best Ever Finds For Your Romantic Wedding
I've attended many weddings over the years and I've seen many beautiful wedding dresses, but the most beautiful and romantic of all was the one that involved a vintage dress, heavily beaded and form fitted, the kind of dress that might have been worn by a movie starlet decades and decades ago. Which was perfection itself, of course, for the day when a bride was to marry her film maker fiancee in a renovated historical movie theater. The same theater where he had proposed to her, with their names on the marquee, a poster that featured the couple in the starring roles, and a catered dinner on the stage. All of this followed by a private viewing of the film he had made of their life together (thus far). This was the wedding that pulled out all of the stops in the romance department. And the bride, being clever as well as romantic, had found the perfect vintage dress. Not a "look alike". Not "in the style of". But a beautifully genuine vintage dress. And it was all so perfect that it was nearly magical. The wedding of course, and the romantic story, as well.. but the dress played an important supporting role. It always does...
Perfectly Romantic Accessories...
"Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue..."
What's more romantic than our long standing cultural traditions? They are the very things
that give shape and meaning to those special occasions in our lives. I found this vintage brooch at Spanky Luvs Vintage's shop. So pretty with its blue colors and clear rhinestones, this brooch would be a lovely piece of jewelry to attach to the bridal bouquet. A bonus for the lover of tradition, this vintage brooch covers both the tradition of "something old" and "something blue" in one fell swoop. Please visit Spanky Luvs Vintage to see her entire collection of beautifully romantic vintage jewelry.

The Best Ever Original Art Pet Portraits
![]() |
| Artwork by Robin Zebley at Custom Portrait Art |
I absolutely adore Robin Zebley's Custom Pet Portraits. Robin is a true artist and her work is
totally original, with no computer generated assistance. She creates her "magic" the old fashioned way with pencils, paint and brush. Robin works in colored pencil, oil paints, or watercolor and ink, as appropriate on
hardboard, canvas, or paper. She offers a variety of sizes that will
exactly fit the spot where you want to display your work of art, and
that will suit your budget as well.

| Artwork by Robin Zebley at Custom Portrait Art |
Robin is a gifted and talented artist, whose work has been shown in local galleries and won awards at art shows. Her colored pencil art was published in “Colored Pencil Magazine”, and Robin and her boxer Sarge were once featured on a local Philadelphia television news magazine show. Even so, she considers her greatest honor to be that she is entrusted by her clients to create a work of art that captures the heart and soul of their beloved pets.

I think what sets Robin's work apart
from some other portrait artists is the fact that she takes the time to
work closely with her clients to capture the unique personality of
their individual pets. Her process involves photos of the pet, as
well as stories and information from her clients about what is
special about their companion. The end result is a portrait that
truly captures the individual animal, and not just a certain breed.
There's just something about those eyes and the body language...
Please take a look at her listings at Custom Portrait Art and
you will see exactly what I mean. Robin has created numerous cat and dog portraits over the years, but also has captured the images of other, more "unusual" companion animals.
These original pet portraits are a
wonderful way to celebrate your past or present greatly cherished
companions, whether they be dogs, cats, birds, or rats. They make
truly memorable gifts for birthdays, weddings, or holiday gift
giving. Robin is often quite busy in the season leading up to the
holidays, so why wait? Your original pet portrait will make a great gift
at any time of the year, one that will be cherished for many, many
years to come.
You can easily contact Robin at her shop to start the conversation about commissioning your very own
custom pet portrait. You will be glad you did.
